Retro Christmas Decor and an Old Family Egg Nog Recipe!

This tablecloth sure is nostalgic. I love this
Santa tablecloth.  This tablcloth reminds me of my Christmas' as a kid. So cute. Think wholesome thoughts of butter creme frosting on cutout sugar cookies. Bing and Nat crooned "White Christmas" and chances are good there was an aluminum tree changing colors in the next room!

If you aren't in to cookies ... I have a great Egg Nog recipe (that really is a very old family recipe) - and it is good!

Mueller's Egg Nog

3 oz. Vanilla Extract
1 Doz. Large Eggs
1 Qt. Milk ( 3- 1/2 gallons -OR- 1 gallon _ 1/2 Gallon
1 Qt. Coffee Cream (Equal 4 half pints)
2 Cups Sugar
1/5 Rum - Bacardi Light
1/5 Brandy (less 1 cup)
1/5 Rye (less 1 cup)

With mixer blend sugar and eggs until smooth.  Pour egg mixture into pot with milk and cream.  Blend we  Add vanilla.  Add liquor very slowly, stirring constantly.  (So it does not co the eggs.)

When served add nutmeg to the top.

Oh, and don't forget to wear your Christmas Apron.
