Well, Well, Well, Isabella - I Like the Waves You Make

Have you heard of Isabella Water?  If you haven't, you will.  They are making a huge splash for the environment and people who need clean water.

Nick Ogden, founder of Isabella Water founded his company and product on the premise that everyone deserves clean water.  A basic philosophy that drives the company of  Isabella Water.   Ogden is a visionary.  He is addressing two major environmental and lifestyle problems:   One, a huge portion of the population is without clean water (1 in 8 people globally) and two; plastic/disposable water bottles take an incredible amount of energy to manufacture and most end up in the trash, not in the recycling bin.  Thus the birth of Isabella Water.  They offer a stainless steel water bottle (comes in 3 colors)  that retails for $20 to encourage people to stop buying plastic bottled water.  Once someone purchases the recycled and reusable bottle, $10 of every purchase will help fund a well to provide clean water in Africa or Asia.

This is a perfect gift for those who want to go green and help someone at the same time – it's a perfect stocking stuffer or holiday gift for teachers, students or really, anyone.  Everyone drinks water : )

Liven Up A Dress or Skirt with A Petticoat ...

Have an old swing dress?  Perhaps a full circle skirt that needs a little make-over?  Make an old skirt or dress new again, with one simple little addition ... an adult Crinoline (Petticoat)!  They can add fullness to a dress that's "hanging" and a pop of color to a solid color.  They are fun to wear because the are flirty, swishy and feminine.

A petticoat or underskirt is an article of clothing for women; specifically an undergarment to be worn under a skirt or a dress. The petticoat is a separate garment hanging from the waist (unlike the chemise).

By 1953 petticoats were often made from this new wonder fabric nylon which had been around for years, but was production and distribution restricted during world War II.   Edith Head designed a number of gowns and dresses, supported by multiple layers of petticoats, for actresses such as Grace Kelly and Doris Day, who appeared in Alfred Hitchcock films in the 1950s  Dinah Shore ( Dinah Shore citation Wiki) --- frequently wore dresses with petticoats on her NBC television shows.  Actress Connie Stevens, who appeared in television series and movies, said she wore petticoats as long as possible because she had wide hips.[4] Other entertainrs who often wore petticoats were Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, and Patti Page. We have them available in 4 colors: Black, Pink, White, Red in our Get Go Retro Boutique!
